Blog writing: how does it work and what does it cost?
If you’re looking to commission a blog post, the first step is to tell me about you and your brand. It will be useful to understand a bit more about your existing tone of voice, who your typical customers are and what you are looking to achieve from a blog post.
Some brands commission blog posts in order to boost their SEO rankings on a particular subject whereas others will do so in order to reinforce their knowledge and expertise on a particular subject. Usually, brands tend to want both and this is why it’s crucial to work with a professional copywriter.
Once I understand more about your brand and what you are looking to achieve, I will ask you for clear directions on the blog-post topic, the length of post you are looking for and if you have any particular keywords or phrases you would like to be included in the copy.
Blog writing: how much does it cost?
Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.
Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.
Regardless of topic, all one-off blog posts are subject to a fee of £100 per post. In terms of word length, I recommend an average of 800 words. If you would like more words, this can be done but the fee will increase. I would not recommend commissioning a blog post under 800 words because search engines tend to reward longer blog posts with a better ranking position.
If you are looking to commission a series of blog posts, we can negotiate the rate to suit the scope of the project. Please get in touch and tell me a bit more about what you’re looking for.
All fees include writing, editing and proofing and one set of reasonable revisions. You will also need to supply a list of keywords and phrases and these will be woven into the copy.
