Hello!
I’m Silvia Lowe: a product content specialist based in Cornwall with a track record of working for some of the world’s best-known brands, such as Hugo Boss, Ted Baker, Virgin Care and ibis Hotels. I’ve lived in Cornwall for over ten years and I would never want to live anywhere else.
Having run a successful business for over ten years and managed to juggle it around school hours, I have learned a lot about achieving a work/life balance that actually feels pretty good now.
In 2013, I set up Siblinc Ltd alongside my sister, Celia Anderson. At the time, we intended to use Siblinc to supplement our income but it quickly became so much more than that. Celia was a freelance copywriter and I was in employment, so we were both earning but not as much as we wanted to.
We also really wanted to be able to choose our working hours and give ourselves a day off without having to fill in a form or get permission to do so. In short, we’re both control freaks and we like to make our own decisions!
We’re now approaching our ten-year Siblinc anniversary and I am so proud of what we have achieved in that time. We’ve gone from managing sporadic copywriting requests from small businesses with low budgets to working for global fashion and lifestyle brands. We count Hugo Boss, Moss Bros and many other much-loved brands among our client list: we supply product descriptions for their seasonal product drops to help them increase their sales and reduce customer returns. We’ve worked with them all for years and, to this day, I still have to pinch myself a little.
Here’s a little taster of what we do for our clients:
In addition to running Siblinc, I’m also a musician and composer. I am in an acoustic-folk duo and we gig around Cornwall. I’ve also released a series of albums on all major streaming platforms. There’s a lot to say about music and why it’s so important to me but that’s a blog post for another day.
Thanks for visiting. If you’d like to find out a bit more about me, my business and my life in Cornwall, head on over to the blog.
